Hot damn, I’m going to be broke in November!!! My husband is going to kill me when he gets the credit card bill. Oh well, I need all of these books in order to complete me and *my* bookshelf. Any tips you want to send my way on how to score (legally) more money before Nov 3rd - I’m open to suggestions. I am contemplating gambling or stripping…just kidding (whisper I’m totally serious).

Mane Squeeze by Shelly Laurenston –> Funniest Shifter Series Evah!

Growing up on the tough Philly streets, Gwen O’Neill has learned how to fend for herself. But what is she supposed to do with a nice, suburban Jersey boy in the form of a massive Grizzly shifter? Especially one with a rather unhealthy fetish for honey, moose, and…uh…well, her. Yet despite his menacing ursine growl and four-inch claws, Gwen finds Lachlan ‘Lock’ MacRyrie cute and really sweet. He actually watches out for her, protects her, and unlike the rest of her out-of-control family manages not to morbidly embarrass her. Too bad cats don’t believe in forever. At nearly seven feet tall, Lock is used to people responding to him in two ways: screaming and running away. Gwen – half lioness, half tigress, all kick-ass – does neither. She’s sexy beyond belief and smart as hell, but she’s born protector. Watching out for the family and friends closest to her but missing the fact that she’s being stalked by a murderous enemy who doesn’t like hybrids…and absolutely hates Gwen. Lock probably shouldn’t get involved, but he will. Why? Because this is Gwen – and no matter what the hissing, roaring, drape destroying feline says about not being ready to settle down, Lock knows he can’t simply walk away. Not when she’s come to mean absolutely everything to him.
Releases for Nov 3rd

Skin Game By Ava Gray (aka Ann Aguirre)–> Can Reyes take March’s place in my heart?

A beautiful fugitive—wanted dead or alive.
Kyra is a con woman and a particular kind of thief. She steals with a touch, but she only takes one thing: her target’s strongest skill. Which means she can be a fighter, an athlete, a musician, an artist—anything she wants… for a limited time. Heartbroken, she turns her gift toward avenging her father’s murder; with deadly patience, Kyra works her way into casino owner Gerard Serrano’s inner circle. After pulling off the ultimate con, she flees with his money and his pride.
A hit man who never misses the mark.
Reyes has nothing but his work. Pity for Kyra, he’s the best and mercy never sways him once he takes a job. He’s been hired to find out where Kyra hid the cash—and bring her back to face Serrano’s “justice.” Dead will do, if he can’t locate the loot. He’s never failed to complete a contract, but Kyra tempts him with her fierce heat and her outlaw heart. So Reyes has a hell of a choice: forsake his word or kill the woman he might love.

And though Jagr agreed not to harm an inch of this stubborn female’s distractingly tempting body, he’ll gladly kiss her into submission, awakening an urge he hasn’t felt in years. hell, in centuries…

her. She doesn’t need an ally. She certainly doesn’t need a mate. But soon soon Regan will have to choose–between a lust for vengeance, and a passion as dark and dangerous as the night…

I’d like to take this moment and thank Goodreads for feeding my book addiction and making it nearly impossible for me to stick within my book budget. I want all of these of my shelves!!!

Findind the Lost is good, I’m in the middle of Skin Game and I have Blaze of Memory on my TBR pile, although I’m not sure if I’m going to read it!
Gah! FINDING. Not findind.
@Wendy I really enjoyed Butcher’s Burning Alive, so I must read Finding the Lost or I might throw a hissy fit or something. I love Nalini Singh Angel’s series, maybe even more than psy series..I’m so fickle.
Lots of great sounding books there. Definitely be adding some to my tbr list, especially Finding the Lost and Darkness unleashed!
I hope Dev is as cool as his shades. When I read about him in Mine to Possess I swear he was 55 with a beer gut. Guess not.
What is this Shelly Laurenston series?? How dare you add more to my tbr. (and hello Nathan Kamp!)
I heart March – I want to hold him and make all his boo boos better – but Reyes – hot damn..I will take him as a lover over March any day.
I have all of these books on my list, but when they will be read…. way too much on the tbr pile. Looking forward too Skin Game since everyone is raving and ranting about it! As for Nalini Singh *hides under desk*, I have all her books but not read one yet!
@book chick city I’ve read Alexandra Ivy’s first 3 bks in this series, been waiting to get my hands on her 4th vamp installment. My TBR pile just doubled after Nov *sighs*
@Mandi you must read one of Shelley Laurenston’s shifter books!!! I loved Beast Within she also writes as G.A. Akien (dragon series) – she makes me snort out loud, so I have to make sure I don’t read her books in public places. Would it be greedy to want both March and Reyes at the same time?
@Marissa Skin Game is at the top of my must buy pronto list. Have you read Nalini Singh’s angel series? I loved the first book Angel’s Blood – I also am all about her psy-changeling series.
I arleady have Skin Game , i’m currently reading it and it’s soooo gooooood!
But i’m waiting for Blaze of Memory, i haven’t read all the books in the series yet but i still have them all so i need this one too lol i know how stupid that sounds
I don’t know the other books you mentioned but i’ll check them out
LA LA LA, I can’t hear you!!! LA LA LA. I’m not buying any books. I’m NOT buying any books. I’m on a book diet. Stop trying to tempt me. I mean it. I’m not.
I am so going to be broke now! So many good books to choose from!!
@Caroline A. the green eyed monster rears it’s ugly head. I wants Skin Game!
@Fiction Vixen *hypnotizing voice* you know you want the books, you need ‘em, your book shelf will be lonely without ‘em.
@Colette I was mentally calculating what I will be spending in November *gulp* I’ll probably need to take out a loan or something!
Hi KC! I had never heard of Ava Gray until I started seeing all of these reviews pop up, and now I want this book! I am definitely getting Skin Game!
(My Amazon Prime Time membership is smokin’!)
@Penelope Mandi from Smexybooks got me hooked on Ann Aguirre aka Ava Gray AND goodreads. I’m broke b/c of her
Skin Game gets me excited!
You have Reyes and March to lust after because of me. That is priceless
(or I should give the credit to Ann Aguirre – LOL)
KC–Mandi got me addicted to Jeaniene Frost…I read the entire series in about a week, one book just flowed into another, I lost all sense of time and place…and I fell in love with Bones. Mandi is like a drug-dealer getting us all hooked by posting reviews (“sending subliminal messages to the masses”)–better keep an eye on her!
@Mandi *claps hands together* I bow down to your pimp-iness.
@Penelope Mandi suggested I read Jeaniene Frost, I’ve mentioned numerous times that I have to pay my mortgage
Ooo I just picked up SKIN GAME the other day. Hear is burning hot! Wahoo!!
I’m looking forward to Singh’s BLAZE OF MEMORY although I’m not a big fan of the MIAMI VICE cover…Guns on a cover just doesn’t scream romance to me. But I live for the Psy/Changelings so I’ll just have close my eyes when I pick it up.
@VFG *giggles* Spot on with the Blaze of Memory Miami Vice look. The heros sort of remind me of Don Johnson ewwww. I wants Skin Game!!!!
*delurking*
Fantastic site – I don’t know where to look first
I am so hanging out to read Blaze of Memory. I’ll be picking it up next weekend – I can’t wait!
Great list! I need to pick up Alexandra Ivy’s. I’ve enjoyed her series.
@orannia I’m counting down the hours till Nov 3rd releases!!!
@Barbara I find that Alexandra Ivy doesn’t get a whole lot of exposure, but I really enjoy her series.
