My Favorite Books for 2009 And My New Years Resolutions
31 Dec, 2009 in All Reviews, Random Funny 16 CommentsAhoy from the top of the Mountain!!!!

It’s been quite a year! I started blogging in May with my sidekick aka my twin sister {Marie K} and have made many great online friends who share my addiction/passion for books. I’m eternally thankful to have met some of you as you make me giggle incessantly, while I’m at work trying to “play it cool”.
My Favorite Books for 2009
Genre: Best UF Series
Karen Marie Monings Dreamfever and Fever Series { Most of us died a little inside when the book ended, now we are left with stalking KMM’s forums, Amazon, etc for Shadowfever’s release date}
Genre: Breakout New UF Book
Genre: Sci-fi
Genre Romantic Suspense:
Skin Game by Ava Gray {Even though it’s labeled as “paranormal”, plueeze it’s romantic suspense in my book}
Genre: BDSM Erotica
Victoria Dahl’s Wicked West {I’ll never forget this book as it helped to shed my vanilla veneer}
Genre Historical/Fantasy
The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker by Leanna Renee Hieber
Genre Paranormal Romance Series
Jeanine Frost’s Night Huntress {We all fall a little in love with Bones as we turn the page, with a smile. This is one of my favorite series I’ve read this year}
Genre: Paranormal Romance Book {Singular}
Nalini Singh’s Angel’s Blood
Genre Young Adult
Other honorable mentions: J.R. Ward Lover Avenged, Shelly Laurenston’s Mane Squeeze, Jacquelyn Frank’s Rapture, Ann Aguirre’s Blue Diablo, Lauren Dane’s Laid Bare, Gena Showalter’s Seduce the Darkness, and Larissa Ione’s Pleasure Unbound.
My New Years Resolution:
- To annoy, beg, plead {insert puppy dog eyes} for all you bloggers/blog followers still out there not on twitter, to join Twitter! FVG aka Lovin’ Me Some Romance, Kris from Kris n Books, and Patti from Book Addict.
- For all my followers who haven’t read a m/m romance book, I want you to try at least one in 2010. We’ll all work together on this. We’ll meditate, start off with the nice kiss scene from J.R. Ward’s Blhay and Qhuinn then work up to Josh Layndon. Deal?
- For my personal goal…to loose these 10 god damn blogger pounds I gained! Oh, and world peace of course.
Happy 2010!!!!!!!

Yes, everyone should join Twitter!
And everyone should read m/m!
MY Smokin’ Hot goal in 2010 is to read Dahl’s Wicked West – and a Shelly Laurenstein
The “Oh, and world peace of course.” clued me in that you had to balance that wicked side of yours. You’re so right that I died a bit inside when reading Dreamfever, I better get me a HAE with hearts, rainbow and stardust in Shadowfever!!
Looks like you had a great year! Oooh, everyone keeps recommending KMM’s Fever series, will have to definitely check that one out in 2010. LOL, with all the romance readers reading M/M lately, sounds like another must-do experience in 2010. Have a great new year!
Love your best of list and totally love that you gave Shelly Laurenston a shout out. I just found her books this year and I haven’t laughed out loud reading books so much ever! The books in her Magnus Pack and Pride series are all winners and Mitch might be the funniest character out there!
Happy New Year!

Okay I am up for the m/m book challenge…so give me a title! Happy New Year K.C!
Got a cramp from scribbling down all these titles
I’ve only read Skin Game, it’s on one of my 2009 fav lists too. I seriously have to start the KMM series cos I finally want to know what’s all the fuzz about
I’m all for Twitter too!
And the M/M goal I totally support. I just finished an excellent book to deflower all the M/M virgins with: The One That Got Away by Madeleine Urban & Rhianne Aile. Totally LOVED it!
Happy New Year to you too, sweetie! Or as we Dutch say: Gelukkig Nieuw Jaar!
Natasha – I am loving Josh Lanyon for m/m
How cool that two of my books made your list! *tickled* Happy holidays!
Oh, of course. *rolls eyes*
And, God dammit KC, would you STOP tempting me!
LOved your list and perhaps I really should read some KMM!
